Given that it's April Fool's Day. It's a perfect opportunity to talk about "fact checking" those emails and websites that get circulated. Not everything on the web is true and not every email message you receive is really about the terminally ill child or your lottery win.
Doug Johnson at Blue Skunk Blog suggests three sites for checking on those urban legends. The most well known is http://www.snopes.com/ If nothing else, you can see where some of those tall tales originated even before the computer and internet were around.
