Monday Morning Book Review--The Blind Side
The Blind Side by Michael Lewis--This is a book about football--high school, NCAA and professional. It follows the evolution of the Left Tackle position to a critical, key position on the team. It follows Michael Oher's evolution as a homeless, inner city child to an NFL prospect. (Michael is currently playing his senior year for Ole Miss). This story appeals on so many levels--football fans will be enthralled with the history of the sport and the changes that occurred to elevate the importance of the left tackle position. 49er fans will enjoy how the history of the Bill Walsh and the 1980's team of the decade played a key role in this transition. Others will be fascinated by the rags to riches story of Michael Oher and the obstacles he's overcome to get where he is...Can you tell, I loved this book! READ IT!
