Monday Morning Book Review--Jellicoe Road

Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta--This book won the Prinz Award for Young Adult Literature. Award winners, sometime appeal and sometimes they don't...everyone has different tastes but I bought this because it won an award and had positive reviews. So, should you read it too? YES! Seventeen year old Taylor becomes leader in her boarding school and as a result has to negotiate territory between the townies and the cadets. At the same time, she discovers the truth behind the start of the annual "war" between the three groups. This isn't the same old rich vs. poor, haves vs. have nots story. Check it out for yourself.
