Monday Morning Book Review--The Cartoon Guide to
Physics or Genetics or Chemistry or Statistics by Larry Gonick--These graphic interpretations on some more complicated topics provide an multi-dimensional approach to understanding. I'm most familiar with The Cartoon Guide to Statistics from my days teaching AP Statistics. I often used Gonick's examples to help students understand some of the more complicated ideas in statistical analysis.
