American Landscape, 1930 by Charles Sheeler located at the end of the C-aisle. Look carefully at Sheerler's painting and you can see a tiny figure crossing the tracks. The title typically invokes ideas of mountain vistas, bubbling rivers, or other nature scenes. Yet, as industrialism rose in the U.S. the American landscape was being modified.
