The Cardturner by Louis Sachar is a book about Bridge. Alton's great uncle needs someone to turn the cards and help him in his bridge tournaments since Uncle Lester can no longer see. Along the way, Alton discovers that Bridge may have appeared boring and undecipherable, but it's really challenging and he enjoys the challenge. Sachar wrote the book
