MHS is holding a graphic design competition for the new pool. The student winner will have their design placed on a prominent part of the building and will be awarded $250.  The criteria for the competition is as follows:

Graphic Design Competition Guidelines 

Design Goal:

To create an exciting and dynamic graphic design composition that will identify and promote Milpitas High School and its swimming program.  This graphic design will be located on the most prominent building face of the future swimming complex, adjacent to the main entrance.

Design Considerations:

The concept should draw inspiration from swimming and/or diving, school identity, local history, and/ or the local community. 

Design Guidelines:

The graphic design should incorporate a motivational quote, graphic image, symbol, and/or logo, or be a combination of any of these.   The graphic composition will be limited to a maximum of 2 colors and a maximum of 40 SF (e.g. 4’ x10’, 8’x 5’).  Any text will be limited to maximum of 18”. 

The graphic composition may be attached to the building surface as 3M film, cutout metal, or cutout Plexiglas.
