The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman explores the memories of childhood. A middle-aged man returns home for a funeral and drives the old neighborhood. When he arrives at a pond near the end of the road, memories from being seven return. Gaiman's storytelling allows every reader to have a different experience reading this book.
