Written in the Stars by Aisha Saeed is one of those books that you can't put down. Naila's immigrant parents won't let her date and prom is out of the question. When they discover she's not following their rules, they decide to travel back to their home country and remind her of the traditions of their country. Saeed tackles the sensitive subject of arranged marriages and the conflict between Americanized children and their immigrant parents in a thoughtful manner. This is a must read, but disturbing and hopeful at the same time.
