End of the Year Schedule Changes

The end of school is fast approaching and while testing ends 5/20.  There are still some disruptions to the library schedule.

Library Closures for April & May

April showers may bring May flowers for some, but April and May are testing season at MHS and brings on some closure of the library. This means printing will not be available during break, lunch or before school. The J15 and L22 labs are open most days after school but check with Ms. Saxena and Ms. Dimmick for availability.

Library Schedule Changes

CAHSEE testing is Tuesday March 8 and Wednesday March 9.  The library will be closed all day for both of those dates.  There may be a need to close early on Monday March 7 for set up.

The library will be closing at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays during December.  Wednesday and Friday hours will remain the same.  Regular hours will resume in January.

Due to some unforseen personal appointments, the library will be closed after school more often then I would like.  We have some upcoming testing as well.

That's more than enough for now...it is possible that the other Monday's in November the library will close as well, but I don't know that yet.

The problem with being involved...

Because I (Ms. McCready) am involved in various committees on campus and for the district, September is a busy meeting month. 

• On Tuesday 9/7, the library will be closed after school for the School Leadership Team meeting.  This happens the first Tues. every month.
• On Tuesday 9/14, the library will be closed so I can attend a technology meeting at the district office. 
• On Thursday 9/16 and Monday 9/20 the library will close after school because I will not be here. 

I think that's it for September but watch the website, library calendar, and facebook for updates.

Welcome Back

Welcome Back to School.  On Monday August 30, schedule distribution for students arriving after 8:10 a.m. will take place in the library until the end of 2nd period.  After break pick up schedules at the attendance office.
The library will open for regular business at break.  Come on in and see the new books that have arrived, the updated computer lab and more.  Regular library hours begin on Tuesday August 31st.

Library Closures

October is a busy month for the library. We will be closed quite a bit due to a variety of circumstances. Please read the signs posted and the calendar for schedule changes that impact the library availability. I know its frustrating, but we are one of the only spaces available for testing large groups. Also, I (Ms. McCready) am on several committees that involve meetings after school and with no other staff for the library I have to close. It seems like everything is happening at the same time right now. Hopefully, November will be better. For computer access, the J-15 lab is open after school.

Testing Season Begins...

Second semester is testing season and with it comes library closures. I know it's inconvenient, but the library is one of the only large group spaces with tables and chairs that can be easily arranged for testing.

UPCOMING CLOSURES:

Tuesday & Wednesday February 3rd & 4th is CAHSEE testing. (This means we may close early on Monday 2/2 for set up).

Wednesday February 11th the library will be closed during classtime for staff training, but will open before school and at lunch.
